As a mark of respect to former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Delhi government on Tuesday decided to take off its advertisements from hoardings and on air.
"The Delhi government instructs to remove displays/advertisements from outdoor sites as a mark of respect to the departed soul," said a government statement.
It was not immediately clear when the advertisements would be back.
Kalam died following cardiac arrest on Monday in Shillong while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management. He was 83.
