The ITO-Mandi House section of the Delhi Metro will be opened for public from Monday, it was announced on Friday.
"The clearance from the commissioner for Metro rail safety has been received. The operations will begin at 6 p.m.," the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said in a statement.
"The ceremonial flag-off will take place at 4 p.m.," it added.
The underground stretch is a part of the 9.37-km long Central Secretariat-Kashmere Gate line. The corridor connects office areas at Mandi House, ITO, Jama Masjid, Red Fort as well as the commercial centres and residential colonies in the walled city.
