The Delhi Metro broke all records as it touched a ridership figure of 27.6 lakh commuters in a day, an official said Saturday.
"The ridership figure has reached a new high of over 27.6 lakh breaking all previous records Aug 8," a spokesperson of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said.
He said that Delhi Metro has been registering a continuous increase in ridership since July, 2014. He added that the ridership figure created a new record for the third time Aug 8.
The official said that July 21, Delhi Metro's ridership figure touched a high of 26.84 lakh and Aug 4, it reached 27.5 lakh.
