Delhi Metro to reach Manesar, says Hooda

Gurgaon, April 23 (IANS) The Haryana government plans to extend Delhi Metro up to Manesar here and a detailed project report (DPR) for the purpose is almost complete, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said here Tuesday.

After getting consent from the central government, the state government has decided to extend Delhi Metro up to the Industrial Model Township (IMT) in Manesar, Hooda said after inaugurating a five-star hotel near the Kherki Daula toll plaza.

He also said that the state government is trying to solve the problem of traffic jam at Sirhol Toll Plaza here.

On the 135-km Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, he said construction of this project is being monitored by the Supreme Court and his government has been trying to complete the project at the earliest. The project has been missing deadlines for years.
