The Delhi Police said Tuesday that it will lodge a case against the global taxi service provider Uber.
"A case under appropriate sections will be filed against Uber, as it was found to have not followed the transport rules. We are taking a legal opinion," Deputy Commissioner of Police Madhur Verma told IANS.
The online taxi booking service came to the limelight after a driver attached to the company allegedly raped a 25-year-old business analyst in a cab while dropping her home in north Delhi Friday night.
