It was a hot weekend in Delhi with the maximum temperature on Sunday being recorded three notches above season's average at 37.3 degrees Celsius. Monday is likely to see similar weather.
"Monday is likely to have similar weather conditions," said an official of India Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 37 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
On Sunday, the minimum temperature settled one notch above season's average at 22.4 degrees Celsius.
