Fashion designer Anita Dongre will share her journey of taking Indian crafts to global consumers with her Grassroot initiative at a conference at the Harvard Business School in Boston.

She will address students of the institute in the upcoming India Conference at Harvard. She will be speaking on February 7.

Dongre, who came up with Grassroot - a sustainable handcrafted contemporary brand from the House of Anita Dongre - is humbled and excited at the opportunity.

"It is a privilege to be among the top names representing the Indian fashion industry at one of the finest institutes of the world. I'm excited to be speaking on February 7," Dongre said in a statement.

Dongre added that: "Grassroot has been a long cherished dream for me. I have always wanted to create a bridge between the crafts of India from our remotest villages and the global consumer. And I am glad that we have created a sustainable platform for the artisans."

Grassroot chronicles and restores heirloom traditions from the heart of Indian villages and fashions them into contemporary tales. She has collaborated closely with artisans, helping them create better livelihoods.
