Technology giant Microsoft on Wednesday said that over 75 million devices were running the flagship operating system (OS) Windows 10 after a month of its release, that goes to show that the adoption rate of the OS is nearly 414 percent.
Just a day after the launch of the new OS, the technology giant declared that 14 million devices were running Windows 10.
"More than 75 million devices running Windows 10 and growing every day," Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice-president of Microsoft's Windows and devices Group, tweeted.
Microsoft also said that Windows 10 has seen more than six times the number of app downloads per device from the Windows Store than Windows 8 did. He also said more than 90,000 unique PC and tablet models have upgraded to Windows 10 to date.
The Redmond-based company would be happy with the response so far, as it has been betting big on the new version of Windows. It was losing its pre-eminent position with the launch of Windows 8 and 8.1, that some critics had panned.
