Djokovic advances to second round at Wimbledon

Serbian world No.1 Novak Djokovic launched his title defence at the Wimbledon tennis championships with a win against Britain's James Ward by 6-0, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 here on Monday.

Djokovic, who seeks his fourth Wimbledon title, defeated Ward in two hours and three minutes, reports Efe.

The Serb will play in the second round against French Adrian Mannarino, who defeated Britain's Kyle Edmund 6-2, 7-5, 6-4.
