More than 150 stores -- ranging from apparels, hospitality and entertainment -- have commenced operations at the DLF Group-owned DLF Mall of India here, a company official said on Friday.
"On an average, we have 20 brands that are starting operations at the mall every week and will have 70-80 percent of the mall ready for business by March-end," said Pushpa Bector, executive vice president and head, DLF Mall of India.
The move is in line with Mall of India's commitment to its retail rental business, and its growing trend of launching million square feet destination malls in the country, Bector said in a statement.
"We have some of the major brands like Forever 21, Lifestyle, Big Bazaar Gen Next, and Home Centre, DT Star Cinemas to name a few that are operational among the 100 plus ones that have opened their door for visitors," Bector added.
As part of DLF Mall of India's launch strategy, the mall is being launched in three phases and will house over 350 brands under one roof once it is completed, the statement added.
The mall also has a vast food and beverage zone, with brands like The Bento Cafe, Ala Turka, Item No., Keventers, Wanchai by Kylin, Tikka Town, Insta Pizza, Juice Lounge and Wow Momos.
