The dollar has gained against most major currencies as US economic data came in better-than-expected.
New orders for manufactured goods in June increased $8.7 billion (1.8 percent) to $478.5 billion, slightly above market estimates, Xinhua quoted the commerce department as saying on Tuesday.
This increase, up following two consecutive monthly decreases, followed a 1.1 percent May decrease.
Personal income increased $68.1 billion (0.4 percent) in June, beating market consensus of 0.3 percent, said the commerce department. Personal consumption increased $25.9 billion (0.2 percent) in June.
