Wolfsburg came from behind to eliminate Leverkusen from following a 2-1 victory.
Both sides staged a slow start. Nonetheless Leverkusen broke the deadlock with 31 minutes into the match as Wolfsburg's Fagner Conserva Lemos deflected a cross by Sebastian Boenisch into his own net.
In the 78th minute, Wolfsburg levelled the score through Christian Traesch who hammered home from near the penalty area.
Both sides exchanged offensive actions but Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost found the winner late on to stun Leverkusen.
Elsewhere, Stuttgart secured their last-eight ticket when they overcame second division side Cologne and second division side Bochum defeated competitor 1860 Munich 3-0.
