German Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund overcame Bremen 3-1 thanks to Marco Reus' brace in the 11th round action of Bundesliga.
Schalke 04 were held to a 1-1 draw with Ingolstadt while Julian Draxler moved Wolfsburg 2-1 past Leverkusen on Saturday, reported Xinhua.
Thomas Tuchel's men reaped their third straight Bundesliga victory to reduce the arrears to front-runners Bayern Munich as Reus scored twice to edge harmless Bremen on the road.
Dortmund caught a fairy tale as Reus broke the deadlock with just nine minutes into the encounter. The German international made use of Henrikh Mkhitaryan's square pass at the far post to slot home from inside the box.
Bremen responded out of the blue and restored parity through Anthony Ujah, who poked home a rebound following a parry by Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Buerki at the 32nd minute.
However, Dortmund remained unimpressed and grabbed the lead for the second time as Henrikh Mkhitaryan nodded home Mats Hummel's pinpoint cross at the far post with one minute remaining in the first half.

The visitors continued with their dominant performance and Reus sealed the deal at the 72nd minute.
With the result, Dortmund narrowed their gap with Bayern Munich to five points while Bremen stay on the 14th place after suffering their first loss following a two-game winning streak.
Third placed Schalke were held to a 1-1 draw by newly promoted Ingolstadt.
Schalke controlled the proceedings on the pitch but it were the visitors who scored the opener against the run of the game as Tobias Levels' volley effort found the target at the 39th minute.
Ingolstadt defended deep and tried to protect the lead but Schalke's youngster Leroy Sana secured his side the 1-1 draw with his equalizer at the 77th minute.
With the third tie of the season, Schalke dropped from third to fourth place and lose track of runners-up Dortmund, who have a six-point advantage. Newly promoted Ingolstadt remain eighth.
Fourth placed Wolfsburg clinched a 2-1 victory over Leverkusen to claim the third position.
Elsewhere, Monchengladbach upset fifth placed Berlin 4-1 on the road to wrap up the sixth win in the sixth game under caretaker Andre Schubert.
Last placed Augsburg shared the spoils with Mainz in a seesaw encounter following a 3-3 draw. The clash between Cologne and Hoffenheim ended up in a goalless draw after ninety minutes.
