The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) returned Friday a South Korean man, who had illegally entered the DPRK last month, Seoul's unification ministry said.
The 52-year-old, identified only by his surname Ma, was sent back to South Korea at about 10.10 a.m. through the truce village of Panmunjom, Xinhua reported citing a statement made by the ministry's deputy spokeswoman Park Soo-jin.
The government will conduct medical check-ups for him and seek to confirm how and why he entered the DPRK, Park said.
