Three people were arrested here for allegedly supplying contraband drugs and narcotics valued at Rs.60 lakh in the international market seized from them, police said on Thursday.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav said officers of the narcotics cell arrested the three accused from different locations of the capital and recovered 40 kg of cannabis and 370 gram of heroin from their possession.
"The total cost of the recovered contraband drugs is estimated at Rs.60 lakh in the international market," Yadav said.
A narcotics cell team arrested Aminullah, 30, from Yamuna Bazar area in north Delhi on August 22 when he went to deliver a consignment of 40 kg of cannabis to his contact.
The same day, another team of the narcotics cell arrested Sachin, 23, near a bus stand in Karol Bagh in west Delhi and recovered 170 gram of heroin from him.
The third accused Aslam, 32, was arrested on Tuesday from Kashmere Gate bus depot where he went to deliver a consignment of 200 gram of heroin to his contact.
