Dubai, Sep 3 (IANS/WAM) Dubai Customs officers at the Cargo Village here have seized 2.7 kg of marijuana in a parcel crossing through Dubai in transit between two Asian countries, an official said Monday.
The drug was concealed in clothing items and when the parcel was passing through the x-ray machine an officer grew suspicious as the x-rays reflected abnormal density. A manual search led to the drug seizure, Saeed Ahmed Al Tayer, director of the department of air customs centres at Dubai Customs, said.
He added that the Dubai Customs' mobile laboratory confirmed that the seeds were marijuana.
