Dubai, Oct 8 (IANS/WAM) Dubai has announced the development of culture village, a creek side destination which aims to capture the culture and heritage of Dubai.
Dubai Properties Group (DPG), a member of Dubai holding, confirmed it is proceeding with the development of culture village Tuesday.
It will be interconnected by 3.8 km of promenade walkways, landscaped features, a retail souk and mixed-use complex.
An operator will shortly be appointed to design, build and manage a centrally located marina which will accommodate up to 60 boats with mooring and access points along the promenade directly connected to Dubai Creek.
The village will also feature an innovative art centre developed by Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives.
The centre aims to support local and regional creative businesses and would provide a platform for creative ideas and encounters.

Speaking about culture village, Khalid Al Malik, Group CEO of Dubai Properties Group said: "Culture Village has been created to capture the strong heritage and cultural diversity of Dubai."
"Culture Village will offer yet another unique lifestyle with traditional components from residential, retail, and entertainment to cultural and living experiences," the CEO added.
