Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Monday expressed the hope that cooperation in the field of education will be strengthened with Japan.
In an address to the Japanese House of Representatives, Sisi said Japan emphasises "patriotism and teamwork" in education, Kyodo news agency reported.
Such principles were "indispensable for promoting economic and social development", said Sisi, who is on a three-day visit to Japan.
Sisi is the first Egyptian president to address the Diet.
