A criminal court in Egypt Saturday postponed the trial of ousted president Mohamad Morsi and 130 other defendants in a jailbreak case till Sep 15.

The case was postponed to listen to the testimonies of the officer in charge of the national security investigations on this case, MENA news agency reported.

Morsi and other leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood group, members of Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Lebanese group Hezbollah are standing trial over escaping prison during the January 2011 revolution in Wadi en-Natroun of Beheira governorate.

Egyptians calling for an end to president Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule started mass protests from Jan 25, 2011, across the country, especially in Cairo's central Tahrir Square, which citizens occupied for more than two weeks.

Mubarak was ousted Feb 11, 2011.
