At least eight militants were killed Sunday in a Taliban attack on a police official's house in Afghanistan, a security source said.
The incident took place in the Kandahar province.
"At least 10 militants were involved in the attack which occurred around 7.30 a.m.," the source told Xinhua.
The source said two bombers detonated their explosive-laden jackets, while another six of the attackers were killed by the security forces.
It is not clear if police official General Abdul Raziq was in the building when the attack took place, the source added.
The Taliban terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
