Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Tuesday flagged off the trial run of an electric bus here.
The hill state aims to ply two fleet of 25 buses each on the busy Haldwani-Nainital and Dehradun-Mussourie routes, an official told IANS.
The bus, specially designed for hilly terrain, costs Rs 1 crore. The 30-seater is equipped with GPS, panic button, CCTV camera and better air suspension.
Officials said the buses would be environment-friendly.
