Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard was called in to the England squad ahead of Tuesday's football friendly game against France here on Sunday.
The 22-year-old will join up with the squad on Sunday to help bolster Roy Hodgson's ranks after two players were forced out through injury.
Lingard's club-mate Michael Carrick was stretchered off in the last minute of England's 0-2 defeat to Spain on Friday, the Football Association said in a statement.
Carrick has returned to his club and will not be available for England's final game of the year.
Meanwhile, young striker Jamie Vardy, who sat out the game in Alicante on Friday with an injury, will also miss Tuesday's match with the French.
England returned from Spain on Saturday and following the tragic events in Paris on Friday night, it was decided that the meeting with France would go ahead.
