Spanish football club FC Barcelona's president Josep Maria Bartomeu on Monday said coach Luis Enrique will continue to coach the Catalan side next season following their treble-trophy winning season.
Enrique's position was under the scanner after a string of poor performances during the first half of his debut season as coach of Barcelona.
His chances looked bleak in January following a shock loss to Real Sociedad but the La Liga, Copa Del Rey and Champions League wins have prompted Bartomeu to keep him at the helm of affairs of the club.
"There is no reason to break our contract with Enrique after he earned full marks for this season," Bartomeu was quoted as saying by goal.com.
The Barcelona president also quashed rumours of a Frenchman Paul Pogba playing for the club next season, saying the club was only monitoring his progress.
"Pogba is an iconic player at Juventus and has a contract there," Bartomeu said.
"We have not tried to sign him, but we are closely monitoring his progress."
