Citizens from European Union (EU) countries living in Britain, will not be eligible to vote in the referendum on Europe, a media report said on Monday.

Following the May 7 general election victory, re-elected British Prime Minister David Cameron reiterated his commitment to hold an "in/out" referendum on British membership in the EU before the end of 2017.

He vowed in 2013 to hold such a referendum if his party won a majority.

British, Irish and Commonwealth citizens over 18 will be eligible to vote, as well as British nationals resident overseas for less than 15 years, BBC reported.

Cameron is to hold talks with the European Commission (EC) President Jean-Claude Juncker at Chequers, the country house retreat of the prime minister, later in the day.
