Exiled Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi arrived on Saturday in Khartoum to kick off an official two-day visit to Sudan during which he is to hold talks with his Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir.

Hadi was received upon arrival at the Khartoum airport by President al-Bashir, senior government officials and representatives of diplomatic corps in Khartoum, Xinhua reported.

Sudan's Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour told reporters that the two leaders' talks are expected to be on the situation in Yemen, and bilateral ties.

Sudan is one of the countries that have joined Saudi Arabia as a coalition partner to fight against Yemen's Shia Houthi group, and restore the rule of President Hadi.

Khartoum also said it was ready to send 6,000 soldiers for the ground operations in Yemen.

Earlier, Sudan announced cancellation of entry visa for the Yemenis but the readiness to receive the war-wounded Yemenis and provide them with medical treatment.
