Two people have been arrested for running a fake educational certificate and marksheet racket in the national capital, police said Saturday.

Lallan Kumar Rai and Narender Arora were arrested Thursday from north Delhi's Rohini where they had come to meet their client for finalising a deal of forged educational documents.

"A private school's fake school leaving certificates, 21 educational certificates with blank letters having fake signatures of the school head and 17 duplicate seals of different schools were recovered from their possession," said Ravindra Yadav, additional commissioner of police (Crime Branch).

He said both gave home tuitions and targeted weak students.

"The accused used to approach parents of such students and offer them migration certificates and marksheets for admission to different universities and schools against a hefty amount, varying from thousands to lakhs," said Yadav.
