Farhan Akhtar's look and performance as an ATS officer in "Wazir" has received a thumbs up from an an IPS officer, who was the actor's role model for his character in the forthcoming film.
After watching the premiere of the Bejoy Nambiar-directorial, IPS officer Vishwas Nangre Patil took to Facebook to laud Farhan. The film, which will release on Friday, narrates a story of how two officers join hands for revenge, and how they accomplish the mission despite several hurdles. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan plays the second officer.
Patil posted on Facebook: "Mr. Bachchan and Farhan both have put life into the characters and the director has succeeded to carve out world class epic. The plot is so intriguing and dramatic that even being police officers we could not anticipate the shock and suspense at the climax."
He added that though there's some semblance of Farhan's character to his life, the role is quite different.
"Yes, somewhat Farhan's moustache, hairstyle and sleeves style matches with mine, but the character has no connection with my life or personality, except being an IPS officer. In all the roles in the movie as a husband, father, police officer, friend and patriot with a mission, he is so intense and outstanding.
"At the interval, Farhan was kind to introduce me as his role model to his friends... I have seen his passion for every minutest detail. He is a perfectionist... A must watch 'this game of shatranj and two great Wazirs of Bollywood playing together."
