FC Barcelona defeated AC Milan Wednesday night by 3-1, thanks to two goals from Messi and one of Busquets which qualified them for the Champions League knockout stage.
The match, which started at 8:45 p.m. at the Camp Nou stadium, was mainly dominated by FC Barcelona, especially the first part, Xinhua reported.
Messi scored the first goal after 30 minutes, his first in three matches, thanks to a penalty whistled against Milan's Ignazio Abate who brought down Neymar in the area.
Barcelona's Xavi, Busquets, Neymar and Dani Alves had made their attempts to score a goal previously, but without any success.
After 39 minutes, Busquets scored Barcelona's second goal on a pass from Xavi after a fault, leaving the score 2-0. Milan pulled one back as Pique scored an own goal.
In the 83rd minute, Messi fired again to nail the win for Barca.
