McLaren's Fernando Alonso on Thursday said he wanted to win with whichever Formula 1 team he races for in 2018.
The Spaniard's future at McLaren was in the balance as he found himself in the 15th spot of the 2017 Driver Standings on just 10 points out of 13 races so far, reports Efe news agency.
"Whatever I do next year will be because I want to win. I will not be in any series to be fighting for top 10, top 15, nothing like that," Alonso said at a press conference ahead of Sunday's Singapore GP.
"There are many options I'm studying and looking at. Formula 1 is my first and only priority. I will wait to make a decision on that before making decisions on other series," the two-time world champion added.
Alonso said that Indianapolis 500 was an option for him since he already took part in this year's edition of the race, missing the Monaco GP.
