Fiorentina reached the Coppa Italia final with an aggregate score of 3-2 after beating Udinese 2-0 in the second leg of their semi-final.
Fiorentina, who headed into the game trailing 1-2 from the first leg, went ahead in the 14th minute through Manuel Pasqual, and Juan Cuadrado sealed the win for Vincenzo Montella's men in the 62nd minute Tuesday, reports Xinhua.
Udinese dictated for long periods in the first half, but spurned a number of opportunities to take command of the tie at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. They came close in the 32nd minute when veteran striker Antonio Di Natale's header crashed against the post.
Fiorentina head coach Montella praised Udinese for their performance, and insisted that his side deserved to be in the final, where they will face the winner between Roma and Napoli.
"It was a very difficult game and before celebrating Fiorentina's performance, I must compliment Udinese for their efforts over both legs. They caused us a lot of problems," he said.
"Having said that, over 180 minutes I feel it was a deserved win and we will enjoy it with our fans, patrons and the whole city. We hope it can become a big moment for Florence," he said.
