An FIR has been lodged against Sajjan Kumar, husband of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Bandana Kumari, for pressurising the Sarvodaya Vidyalaya principal for an admission, police said on Saturday.
In a written complaint, filed at Shalimar Bagh police station on Saturday, Sarvodaya Vidyalaya principal Ranjeet Singh alleged that Sajjan Kumar "harassed and misbehaved" with him, police said.
"He has also submitted a video recording of the fight along with his complaint to the Directorate of Education on Wednesday (July 8)," police added.
Charges under section 146 (rioting), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), and 506/34 (punishment for criminal intimidation) are levelled against Sajjan Kumar, a police official told IANS.
On July 8, in a letter to the Delhi education department, Ranjeet Singh said that Sajjan Kumar threatened him with "dire consequences".
"Kumar called me without introducing himself. He said that his referred admission had not been done. I told him to come and meet me... audio of the same is available with me. He then came to the school and started talking loudly.. He did not listen to my point of view and told me to either take VRS or threatened to get me terminated," Singh wrote in the letter.
