Five school students drowned and one went missing after they accidentally fell into a river in central China's Hubei province, officials said.
Six students from Lianghezhen Middle School went walking along the Juzhang river in Dangyang city, and were taking pictures of one another while playing near the riverside Sunday, Xinhua reported.
Four students accidentally fell into the river around 2 p.m. and the other two were swept away while attempting to rescue them.
The bodies of five students were retrieved, but one remained missing, according to the municipal government.
