Washington, Sep 8 (IANS/EFE) At least four children were killed and two adults suffered serious injuries in a fire that broke out in a building in Chicago Monday.
About 50 people were evacuated from the apartment building in Roseland.
Two adults were admitted to the Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and they are said to be in critical condition, police spokesman Ron Gaines told a local TV station.
Many people were injured when they jumped out of windows to escape the flames.
Authorities, who have not yet released the names of the children who died, said the bodies were found in a bedroom in the second-floor of the apartment building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Gaines said.
