Four Tunisian soldiers were killed Wednesday in a landmine blast in the northwestern part of the country, a media report said.
The explosion occurred when the soldiers were carrying out a sweeping operation on a military vehicle in the mountainous region of Kef, Xinhua quoted sources as saying.
On Tuesday, four soldiers and two national guard officers were injured in a landmine explosion during a sweeping operation in the same area.
Security forces have been fighting Al Qaeda-linked militants hiding near Tunisian-Algerian borders since 2012, but have so far failed to eliminate them.
