The French Embassy in India on Wednesday launched France Alumni-India Chapter, a platform which will help former students acquire key industry knowledge, discover exciting career opportunities, and gain valuable insights into the economic and professional world.
Speaking of the significance of two-way student mobility, Ambassador of France to India Alexandre Ziegler said: "India is a vital strategic partner of France. We attach great importance to academic exchanges between the two countries, embodied by their excellent students, whom we wish to see in greater numbers in France."
"The India alumni community will serve as ambassadors of France, as they will promote prestigious French scholarships offered to Indian students, foster academic and professional partnerships, and thereby help create further opportunities for returning scholars," he added.
"Through this platform, over 450 French companies operating in India, which employ 3,00,000 skilled Indian workers, can also share information on job offers and internships, develop their brand and recruit Indian talents," a release from the Embassy said.
