Actress Gauahar Khan has been approached to play the role of Vrushali in upcoming TV show "Suryaputra Karna".
Vrushali is the love interest of Karna. She is someone who is totally besotted with Karna and often talks a lot.
The makers found Gauahar's personality perfectly suited to the character in the show, according to a source.
Gauahar has appeared in films like "Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year" and "Ishaqzaade". Her TV credits include "Bigg Boss 7", "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3" and "India's Raw Star".
"Suryaputra Karna", which will be telecast on Sony Entertainment Television, is expected to go on air in June end.

Nothing vulgar in 'Bhabhi Ji...!': Asif Sheikh
Actor Asif Shiekh, who plays Vibhuti Narayan in "Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain!", says the comedy show doesn't feature any "dirty or cheap" jokes.
Though the concept of the show focuses upon the flirty life of two neighbours, who love their wives but peek into each others' life for some extra spice, Aasif says he's comfortable watching the show with his daughter.
Asif, who has previously appeared in shows like "Hum Log", "Hum Aapke Hain In Laws" and "Yes Boss", says he hasn't done such a comedy show in his career.
"We make sure things are shown in lighter way in 'Bhabhi Ji...' and the quality and decorum are maintained without situations or dialogues getting dirty or cheap. People are going crazy about the show. It's a light family drama and there is nothing vulgar about it," Asif said in a statement.
"Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain!", which airs on &TV, also stars Rohitash Gaud, Shilpa Shinde and Saumya Tandon.

Karan Tacker celebrates b'day with protein cake
Fitness-conscious actor Karan Tacker, who turned 29, was treated with a special protein cake on the set of singing-based reality show "The Voice India", on which he will be seen as a host.
Karan, who is currently on diet, was surprised when the special fat-free protein cake was brought on the set for his birthday celebrations on May 11.
"I'm very thankful to the team of 'The Voice India' for giving me such a wonderful surprise. They brought in a special protein cake for me to kick off the celebration of my birthday," Karan said in a statement.
"This was very exhilarating for me. I am glad that I am going to start my new year by hosting the most awaited show of the television," he added.
The Indian version of internationally acclaimed singing realty show, "The Voice India", which will be aired on &TV, will see popular Bollywood faces like Himesh Reshamiya, Shaan, Mika Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan playing the coaches.
