Riyadh, Sep 12 (IANS/WAM) The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries will meet in Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh Sep 15 to discuss the elimination of Hezbollah links from their countries.
GCC Secretary-General Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani said the deputies of the grouping's interior ministres are meeting following a directive from the interior ministers.
The meeting will discuss ways to implement the GCC decision to take action against Hezbollah affiliates in the GCC countries, whether through residency or through financial and business transactions.
The GCC comprises Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The GCC secretary-general added that the deputies of the interior ministers would discuss the appropriate mechanisms for implementing the resolution in coordination with related bodies the ministries of trade and monetary institutions, as well as the central banks of the GCC states.
