South Korean footballer Ji Dong Won joined Augsburg from English club Sunderland on an undisclosed fee until the end of the season.
Augsburg strengthen their squad with the South Korean striker, who has already played for the Bundesliga side during a loan spell in 2013 scoring five goals in 13 appearances, reports Xinhua.
"We had the chance to sign Ji Dong Won for the rest of the season and seized the opportunity because we had a successful time. Moreover he knows the team, the coaching staff and the environment. It is nice to have him back," Augsburg's CEO Stefan Reuter said on the German club's official homepage Thursday.
"I really wanted to switch clubs in the winter. I need more match practise to present myself for the World Cup squad in Brazil. I had a great time at Augsburg therefore the decision was clear to me that I wanted to join Augsburg for the rest of the season," the new arrival said.
Augsburg sit currently in the eighth position with 24 points.
