Joachim Loew and the German Football Association (DFB) agreed to continue their cooperation following the qualification of the national team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the DFB announced at an official press conference Friday.

The 53-year-old head coach of the German national team extended his contract for a three-year deal, Xinhua reported.

The DFB also renewed the contracts with team manager Oliver Bierhoff and goalkeeping coach Andreas Koepke. Meanwhile, assistant coach Hansi Flick will take the helm as DFB sporting director following the 2014 World Cup.

"We have great faith in Joachim Loew, Hansi Flick, Andreas Koepke and Oliver Bierhoff, who I value greatly as experts and as people. We at the DFB are emphasizing our great faith with these contract extensions," DFB President Wolfgang Niersbach said in an official statement.

Germany coach "Jogi" Loew told the official DFB homepage: " We have not yet reached the end of our journey. We still have ambitious objectives, which we want to complete collectively. The DFB creates for us and the national team the ideal environment."
