German police have arrested two people suspected of belonging to an Islamist extremist group before launching a raid on a mosque here on Thursday, the media reported.
No weapons or other dangerous objects were found after police acted on a tip-off that an attack was being planned at the mosque in Charlottenburg, a western district in the German capital, according to the Tagesspiegel newspaper.
The two men were nabbed in southeastern part of the city in a separate police operation, Xinhua quoted the report as saying.
