A music teacher at a prestigious school here was Monday arrested for molesting a student while in an inebriated condition, police said.
Joseph Jud D'Souza, who works as a music teacher at the school in Sector 6, Raj Nagar, allegedly came to school drunk and molested the student Aug 30, police said.
As Aug 31 was Sunday, the girl's parents reached the school Monday and protested against him.
The girl's father said in a police complaint that he along with over a dozen other parents received complaints from their children about the teacher.
The students said D'Souza molested a girl student in the class room Saturday and threatened the other students against complaining.
The parents reached the school Monday and found the teacher drunk, police said.

They called police and also filed a complaint with school administrator Raj Kumar Singh, who terminated the teacher with immediate effect.
"We have arrested him under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. A medical examination was conducted on him and investigation has been launched against him," said Ghaziabad Deputy Superintendent of Police Ran Vijay Singh.
