Following the cancellation of the "Ghar Wapsi" music launch at Mumbai last month, the film's music will be released here on March 5 with Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali in attendance, says the film's director Suhaib Ilyasi.
Ghulam Ali will be making his acting debut with the Hindi feature film "Ghar Wapsi". The legendary singer has also composed and lent his voice to a patriotic song for the movie.
Ilyasi told IANS: "Because of the threat of Shiva Sena, we are now organising the music launch of 'Ghar Wapsi' in Delhi on March 5 and Ghulam Ali saheb will also be present".
The music launch was scheduled to take place in Mumbai on January 29, but trouble ensued after threats from Shiv Sena, following which the concert was called off.
Last year also, his concerts in Mumbai and Pune were called off after Shiv Sena threatened to disrupt his live performances.
The 75-year-old singer, who made an entry in Indian cinema with his popular song "Chupke chupke raat din" for B.R. Chopra's "Nikaah", had expressed his anguish and disappointment over it that time.
But the singer has always maintained that music has no boundaries, and his love for the Indian music lovers remains the same even after the controversy.
