A five-year-old girl child died after being stuck in a lift in a private school here on Tuesday, police said.
Rehana Fatima, a student of first standard, was going to her class room on the third floor when she got stuck between the lift doors and died.
The incident occurred at Star Kids School at Moosrambagh in Malakpet area.
Tension prevailed at the school as the victim's parents and family members staged a protest, demanding action against the school management for their negligence.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot to control the situation. They questioned the school principal and others.
