Debutant director Soumendra Padhi is happy that his film "Budhia Singh - Born To Run" is being compared to the Hollywood classic "Forrest Gump".
Ever since the trailer of the biopic "Budhia Singh - Born To Run" has been launched, it has been compared to the Tom Hanks-starrer.
"I'm glad 'Budhia Singh - Born To Run' reminds them of 'Forrest Gump', which is considered as one of the best inspiring Hollywood films," Padhi said in a statement.
While Budhia Singh is the inspirational true story of the world's youngest marathon runner Budhia, who ran 48 marathons at the age of five, "Forrest Gump" also told, in parts, the story of a man's passion and determination to run.
"Budhia Singh - Born To Run", produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Code Red Film Productions, stars Manoj Bajpayee, Tillotama Shome and Master Mayur.
The film is slated to release on August 5.
