The global airline industry's net profit is expected to rise substantially in 2018 due to strong demand, efficiency and reduced interest payments, a global airline association said on Tuesday.
According to a forecast by IATA, global industry's net profit is likely to touch $38.4 billion in 2018 from the $34.5 billion expected net profit in 2017.
IATA represents some 275 airlines comprising 83 per cent of global air traffic.
