Korean bamboo flute recitals, Chinese lion dances with flute and serene tunes accompanying Cambodian dances -- music buffs here will get to enjoy a variety of wind instruments from across the world at a unique event here beginning Aug 23.

The maiden "Calcutta Pied Piper Festival", to be held at the Rabindranath Tagore Centre of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) here, will have workshops and instrument-making sessions too.

Not only established artistes but upcoming musicians will enthrall audiences with live concerts.

"Through two days and 22 concerts, Kolkata will witness more than 170 artistes and 33 different kinds of wind instruments on one stage," a release said.
