Goa Congress president Girish Chodankar on Thursday rode a horse-driven tonga to the North Goa Collectorate to protest against the rising fuel prices.
"Driving by a two-wheeler or a car is getting more and more expensive for the common man. That is why we used a tonga driven by a horse to travel to the Collectorate," Chodankar told reporters before he embarked on his ride from the Congress headquarters in Panaji.
Chodankar submitted a memorandum to the North Goa Collectorate in which the Congress demanded lowering of fuel prices because they were "getting out of reach for the common man".
