Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Wednesday said he was satisfied with the pace of the police probe into the minor rape case in which a legislator was arrested last week.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an award ceremony organised by a government corporation, Parsekar answered in the affirmative when asked if he was happy with the police probe.
The unattached legislator, Atanasio Monserrate, is in police custody.
Monserrate has been accused of allegedly "buying" the minor victim, drugging her and then raping her on multiple occasions in March.
The FIR was filed on Wednesday last week. Since then, along with Monserrate, the victim's mother as well as a pimp who facilitated the 'sale' of the minor girl have also been arrested.
Parsekar, however, refused to provide an update of the police investigation.

"I have left it to the police. I do not interfere," Parsekar said.
Monserrate is an unattached legislator but was elected on Congress ticket in the 2012 assembly election. He served as a minister in the cabinets of Congress and the BJP-led alliance government over the last decade.
