Belgian side Genk has announced the signing of goalkeeper Mathew Ryan on loan from Valencia, until the end of the football season and with a purchase option.
Ryan did not train on Sunday under Valencia coach Salvador Gonzalez 'Voro' and travelled to Belgium to finalise the deal with Genk, reports Efe.
The Belgian club confirmed on Monday on its website the return of the 24-year-old Australian to the Belgian First Division A, as he played for Bruges before joining Valencia in 2015.
Hours before the close of the winter transfer market, Valencia may get rid of more players like Fede Cartabia or Zakaria Bakkali and reinforce its lines with the signing of Chilean forward Fabian Orellana.
