James Bowen of the US will be aiming to close with a record third Asian Development Tour (ADT) title in a single season when he tees off at the inaugural $60,000 Jakarta Invitational Wednesday.

The 27-year-old, who claimed two ADT victories including a breakthrough win here last year, is hoping to start 2014 with a good result at the 2013 season-ending Jababeka Golf and Country Club event.

"I've got good memories here and it's great to be back. I hope to start off 2014 with a good result so I can end the last season by being the first to win three events in one ADT season," said Bowen, who is currently second on the Order of Merit with a season's haul of $38,444.

Bowen looks very likely to earn a 2014 Asian Tour card as he sits comfortably in second position on the Order of Merit. With current No.1 Nicholas Fung of Malaysia having already earned his card through the Asian Tour Order of Merit, the next three highest ranked players on the ADT Merit list will be promoted to the Asian Tour.

"I am really looking forward to playing on the Asian Tour. Playing on the ADT definitely helped a lot in my game," said Bowen.

The winner of the Jakarta Invitational will take home a prize purse of $10,500 and receive six Official World Golf Ranking points.
